Is there reason to suppose that in some sense The Comedy of Errors is a spoof on the classical rules of unities? Unlike many other plays this one takes place within a single day. Furthermore, can one read the digressions on time (eg. Act 2 Scene 2) as commentary on the "untiy of time"?
