Katherina at the end of the play, abides by Petruchio's request and even further gathers the other women; in which this is seen as: "she wins."
How would you agree with this? Can this be seen as Katherina stircking a balance between 'public' and 'private' power? Where alone at night in the bedroom and within the confines of her home she would display control over her husband's demands, whereas in public she allows herself to be controlled by her husband's demands? And if this is so, why?
